¹ Alleluia!

² Children of such a man will be powers on earth,

³ There will be riches and wealth for his family,

⁴ For the upright he shines like a lamp in the dark,

⁵ Interest is not charged by this good man,

⁶ Kept safe by virtue, he is ever steadfast,

⁷ with constant heart, and confidence in Yahweh,

⁸ Steadfast in heart he overcomes his fears:

⁹ Quick to be generous, he gives to the poor,

¹⁰ though this fills the wicked with fury
